Georginio Wijnaldum

Wijnaldum started his career with Sparta Rotterdam and spent 7 years there and his talented displays didn't go unnoticed with all the the top Eredivisie clubs such as Ajax,Psv and Feyenoord all sniffing around, in the end Feyenoord won the race for his signature after beating off the competition.

During his spell at Feyenoord he was part of a very successful youth academy with the likes of Leroy Fer, which once again didn't go unnoticed after excelling in the youth ranks, in April, Wijnaldum made his debut at 16 years and 148 days which is a record for the Rotterdam side and not only making his debut but went on to win the man of the match award. After 4 years playing for Feyenoord he went on to make 134 appearances scoring 25 goals.

In June 2011 he agreed a €5 million transfer to Feyenoord's fierce rival PSV Eindhoven, where he quickly became a fans favourite,
with the retirement of Mark Van Bommel and the sale of Kevin Strootman to AS Roma he was made captain at the tender age of 22 his first season as captain didn't go as planned as he only managed to muster 15 appearances scoring 4 due to a serious back injury.

The following season, He was Psv's unsung hero, everybody's talking about Memphis Depay and his 22 goals but 99% of people are forgetting about the importance of Wijnaldum and his contribution to psv's first title since 2008. With his overall record standing at 152 appearances scoring 56 goals in all competitions averaging a goal every 3 games isn't bad for a number 10 in this day and age.

With Newcastle United announcing the signing of the PSV captain, what a coup that would be and with the fee being touted at around £15 million it Isn't a risk at all. Fingers crossed he'll beable to show off his immense talents.
